Dear members and friends of ILAAS,

I wanted to thank everyone for their participation this year in our brand new organization. We've done many great things this semester, including a basketball tournament, pool tournament, and spring BBQ. For a full listing of events ILAAS has done, check out the timeline under the table of contents at www.uiuc.edu/ro/ilaas

I would also like to inform you about the forums we have up on the site. One forum is the used book exchange, where you can post books you would like to sell or get rid of, and you can email the people whose books you would like to purchase. This will be up through next semester, so see this as a way to get the books you need without getting ripped off at the bookstores. Check it out at http://ilaasforum.community.everyone.net

Also, we have a feedback/comments forum up. Please use this as an opportunity to express your views on the membership card, membership fees, activities, exec board positions, and anything that is on your mind. We would like to hear from you, so that we may have the best organization possible next year. So please take a few minutes of you time to let us know what you are thinking.

One last thing...because our organization has only really been running for one semester (and not even a full one) most of the current exec board has remained intact, with a few internal changes. We are considering having committee chairpeople starting next semester, so this will allow members to coordinate tournaments and picnics and other ideas we come up with. The exec board position are listed below...Thanks again for your support of ILAAS, it is you, the members, that have really carried this organization, and we look forward to seeing all of you next year at Quad day. Good luck on the rest of your finals and have a great summer!

april 13, 2001 (friday the 13th, oooooh)
well, the end of the spring semester is nearing, and ilaas is planning on holding its final event for this semester: the spring 2001 barbeque! it's going to be held on april 28th at crystal lake near the river. ilaas is planning on playing games, sports (anything you'd like: football, frisbee, whatever.), and eating food (duh)!

so, if you're interested in going, sign up here and fill out the info!

hopefully, we'll see you there! in case you don't know where crystal lake is, here's a map! basically, look for that river.

first off, a summary of the basketball tournament is here! thanks to everyone who came out and played! we all had a great time!
secondly, larry cheng has dropped out of the pool tournament, and cathy truong has replaced him.

the basketball tournament is going to be on saturday april 07 2001, so if you want to play in the tournament, i'd start signing up right about... now!

to the pool tournament participants: check the ilaas homepage often to see how you are doing compared to everyone else in the tournament! everytime you enter in your stats here, the webmaster will post up the results and other such things as soon as possible.
